MI receives 13 awards

MINERAL COUNTY – The Mineral Independent returned from the Montana Newspaper Association convention on Saturday, June 14 with five first place wins, four second place awards and four third place awards.

In division one of the competition, the Mineral Independent took first place for best niche publication, best news photo, best news story, best front page and best combination print and online ad.

The newspaper also had second place finishes for the best front page, best feature story, best niche publication and best combination print and online ad.

The Mineral Independent took third place for the best combination print and online ad, sweeping the category.

Another third place certificate was awarded for the best image building ad.

The last two awards came in third place for best front page and best lifestyles photo.
