Joe "Joey" Ryan
Joseph William Ryan March 10, 1955 – January 23, 2014
Joe was an OBSESSED fisherman and hunter. He loved fishing the high mountain lakes, streams, creeks, rivers, ponds, etc. Leaving Superior one day, he was looking for fish in the city lagoon pond and realized he was out of control! He loved playing pool, foosball, horseshoes, hiking, camping, nickel pinball, gambling machines and keno.
Joe was instrumental in getting the city to put in handicapped corners and crosswalks.
He would go to the bridge downtown and shovel the snow, just because. Many people thought he was doing community service, etc. He was just a nice man!!
“Like my old friend John Anderson, I think we (Town of Superior) should do a bench or something to remember JOEY RYAN.”
