Senior news
Dixon
We enjoyed a sunny lunchtime last Thursday at the Dixon Senior Center--lots of melting going on, and no serious flooding in our area that I’m aware of. We’re all awaiting the official Spring start. I love noticing the first signs--so far I’ve heard definite spring bird songs, and someone swore they saw a meadowlark! And we are now on Daylight Savings Time--or should be!
The visiting pinochle group was stormed in for the past two weeks, but will continue on March 17 (remember to wear something green) at Dixon, at 1:30 p.m. Stay for the Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner at five p.m.!
We appreciate the cheery smiles of our new kitchen helper, Debbie Newstrom. Debbie is known in Dixon for being a Superwoman, going all over town helping where it’s needed, and working hard at whatever she does. Come greet her and see her cute headwear!
It’s also nice to have Harvey and Marge Gould back at the dinner table. Come join us for delicious meals on Thursdays at noon and Monday eve at 5:00. Every age is welcome to come. The menu for the rest of the month is
Mar 13 BRUNCH for lunch Veggie omelette, biscuits and gravy
Mon. Mar 17 St. Patrick’s Day corned beef & cabbage
Thurs. Mar 20 Tilapia (fish)
Mon. Mar 24 Sweet & Sour Chicken
Thurs. Mar 27 Polish Sausage
Mon. Mar 31 Roast beef
