After prom breakfast keeps kids safe

| March 19, 2014 1:55 PM

PLAINS - Heather’s Country Kitchen was a loud and happy place on Friday night and it wasn’t the normal dinner crowd either. Heather’s was host to the annual Plains After Prom Breakfast, sponsored by Citizens Against Drug Abuse.

This is estimated to be the 10th year of After Prom Breakfasts sponsored and coordinated by the group. This group created Prom Breakfast as a way to extend the students evening and give a drug and alcohol free after prom party. This years giveaways included four bluetooth speakers, which were presented to students by CADA’S President Dawn Lynch and Coordinator Susan Damschen.

Heather’s Country Kitchen provided the location and staff for the event while CADA paid for the food and prizes. Heather’s Country Kitchen hosted the event and all staff were present to help serve and give back to the community, especially the kids.
