Pesticide clinics scheduled
MINERAL COUNTY - The Montana State University Extension Office and Mineral County Weed District are offering three workshops to assist pesticide applicators with calibrating their sprayers for the start of the season.
These calibration clinics are free and open to any person with a pesticide sprayer, big or small, to attend. Attendees are asked to bring their sprayer and have it properly cleaned out to any of the three clinics offered throughout Mineral County, where staff will assist them to calibrate their sprayer for the safe and effective use of any pesticides they wish to apply.
The locations and dates of the calibration clinics are as follows:
- Saturday, May 10, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Alberton Feed and Supply, Alberton, Mont.
- Saturday, May 17, 10 a.m. – 1p.m. at the west end of the Mineral County Airport, Superior, Mont.
- Saturday, May 31, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the vacant lot, 750 Old US Hwy 10, East, St. Regis, Mont.
Anyone with a pesticide sprayer, whether it’s a one-gallon hand sprayer or a 200-gallon boom sprayer, is welcome to attend. Recertification credits for Farm (Private) Applicator Licenses (1 credit) as well as Government/Commercial Applicator Licenses (1 credit) will be available.
