Mineral County Pet Care week canceled

| May 9, 2014 3:04 PM

MINERAL COUNTY- The Mineral County Pet Care Week originally scheduled for May 16-18 will be postponed due to veterinarian cancellation.

“We are sad to be postponing the Mineral County Pet Care Week spay and neuter events in Superior and St. Regis due to veterinarian cancellation,” said the Montana Spay and Neuter Task Force in a press release.

MSNTF said that the event will be scheduled at a later time. An exact time has yet to be determined.

The week was originally set to help low-income Mineral County residents who can’t afford to have their pets spayed or neutered. The task force was going to provide those services at no cost.

MSNTF wanted to bring residents and volunteers together to do help do something to positively control pet overpopulation around the county. A new date is expected in the next coming months.
