Noxon car show sees success
NOXON – In the first event of its kind, Noxon Schools held their first annual car show with impressive results.
Overall, over 50 vehicles of all types made it to the show. The students played a tremendous role during the car show, both voting for the winners and also creating the awards.
The Noxon High School shop class built the awards and the drivers of the vehicles were all treated to lunch in the school.
Principal Rik Rewerts said it couldn’t have been done without the support of the Noxon community.
“The community of Noxon and the students enjoyed a beautiful day with all of the proud owners of the vehicles,” Rewerts said.
The hope is the event will continue on from here on out.
“We learned a great deal and we hope to enhance the show next year,” Rewerts said.
The awards went to: Elementary choice - Jeff Aitkens with his Chevrolet “Mudder;” Nicest paint - Kip Nixon with his Camaro; Best for back road racing - Brad Fitchett with his Mustang Mach 1; Hottest engine - Kip Nixon with his Camaro; Best to take to prom - Rik Rewerts Chevelle SS; Middle/high school choice - Rayome with a Camaro Z28.
