WEST YELLOWSTONE – The Alberton Panthers did all their scoring in the first half against West Yellowstone and it was just enough to hold off the Wolverines with a final score of 30-25.

The only score in the second half of the game was a single touchdown by West Yellowstone but it wasn’t enough to catch the Panthers. The Wolverines initially took the lead but on a strong showing from Panther starting quarterback Jack Lehl, the team from Alberton scored 24 unanswered points in the second quarter.

Four players from Alberton would score in the second quarter. Nick Turnbull would start off the Panthers with a 20 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown followed by Tyler Ishler scoring on a one yard rushing play.

Lehl would follow suit with a rushing touchdown of his own and Justin Munsch would finish out the offensive onslaught for the Panthers, pulling down a 16 yard pass from Lehl to make the score 30-18 at the half.

West Yellowstone would score one touchdown in the second half but it wasn’t enough to catch the Panthers and the game ended with a score of 30-25.

Attempts to contact Alberton Head Coach Nick Weller for more information, statistics and coach’s comments were unsuccessful.
