Laurel Ann Hamilton

Laurel Ann Hamilton, age 56, of Plains, Montana died suddenly on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.

She was born to Donald and Peggy Zimmer on September 23, 1957 in Pontiac, Michigan. She married the love of her life, Mike Hamilton on June 6, 1987 in West Branch, Michigan. Her children became his, and his children became hers, and just to make it interesting they had one together.

Lorie went to school in West Branch, Michigan and Abilene, Texas. She held many jobs including being a store owner and a waitress. The biggest job she held was being a mom of six children.

Lorie enjoyed being outside, second hand stores, flea markets, growing flowers, and metal detecting. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and helping others.

Lorie is survived by her mother, Peggy Zimmer, sister, Cathy (Jim) Sconzo, brothers, Calvin (Robin) Zimmer and David (Cheryl) Zimmer. She is also survived by her husband and best friend, Mike Hamilton, her children: Michelle (Micky) Lovett, Mike Jr. (Penny) Hamilton, Shannon (Wayne) Crane; Terry (Kim) Hamilton, Josh (Tristen) Jurek and Rebecca (Troy) Crane.

She is also survived by 19 very loved grandchildren, five great-grandchldren and many nieces, nephews, and friends everywhere.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Donald Zimmer, siblings, Richard, James and Rebecca Zimmer, and grandson Johnathan Hamilton.

Funeral services were held at the Church on the Move in Plains, MT, Monday, September 14th at 1 pm, officiated by Jim Sinclair. Arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Hills Funeral Homes, Plains & Thompson Falls.
