HOT SPRINGS – Hot Springs resident, Nicolette Alex Green, recently joined the Montana Army National Guard and has chosen to serve as a Radio Operator Maintainer.

Green is a 2014 graduate of Hot Springs High School and will attend Army Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Upon completion of Basic Training she will attend the radio operator school at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Green has been assigned to the 1889th Regional Support Group, located in Butte.

She is currently employed by Symes Hotel, Bar, Grill and is a member of the varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball teams. In coordination with her service with the Montana Army National Guard, she plans to attend Montana State University beginning in the fall. In addition, she plans to participate in the ROTC program there.

“It was great to assist Alex in the process of joining the Montana Army National Guard and outlining the benefits, incentives, and job skills available to her,” Staff Sergeant John Inman said. “I look forward to seeing Alex move forward in both his military and civilian careers.”

The Montana Army National Guard is extremely pleased with Green’s decision to join the ranks of over 2,700 other guardsmen and women. Her commitment to serve her state and nation are a true reflection on the quality of Montanan she is.
