An opinion on climate change

| April 10, 2015 2:43 PM

Dear Editor,

Climate change seems to really be in the news lately.

I get updates on a regular basis from The Heartland Institute.

They share stories about the myths and lies that have been concocted by people such as Al Gore and his so-called league of Scientists.

The sad part is that “real” scientists have been bullied and scared into remaining silent rather than go through the “attacks, censorship, denial of grants, and much more” that is meant to keep them silent and in line with the myths and lies.

I have attached four such myths and I have hundreds more in my files.

We need someone to editorialize some of these so as to be more fair and balanced in the news that has been so powerful and organized to sell global warming/global cooling and climate change in general, being caused by humans.

Being even a slight contributor to climate change would be bad if it was true, but this is over-kill.

The cost of trillions of dollars over the next twenty to thirty years, to cut back on human contribution, would result in perhaps a maximum of .005 %.

That is like outlawing buckets worldwide, because over a hundred infants per year drown in buckets.

That is like discarding all automobiles, because tens of thousands of deaths are caused by drunk drivers.

That is like disarming all peaceful, law-abiding citizens nation-wide because Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C. and New York.  They have some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, yet the averages of shooting deaths in these areas far outweigh the areas that still allow their citizens to own and carry guns.

Would you review the attached and perhaps your publication can help educate the truth about global climate change of any kind is 99.5% naturally happening every day here in the U.S.

Thank You,

Les Wood
