Republicans need to step up in Montana
Editor:
I forgot - here’s the list of the phony Republicans, who at every opportunity buck their own party, and support Democrat legislation against the wishes of the people of Montana (such as the CSKT water compact, that overwhelmingly is opposed by Montanans - today’s poll in the Missoulian showing 75-80 percent opposition, with a few who cannot decide what to think)

Governor Bullock has signed a bill to reduce the rate of suicide among teens [including promoting or yelling “jump, jump!”], in the state, Montana, having among the highest rate of that form of homicide in the nation...
Yet, a bill to “Clarify offense of aiding or soliciting suicide” [ban the act of assisting] is “tabled” in committee after 36 actions in this legislative session alone! As if to say, we cannot decide... is suicide good, or is it bad?
I can only suppose that it would be embarrassing for the Democrat’s Governor to OPPOSE teen suicide while APPROVING “aided and abetted” suicide of adults...
So his RINO and Democrat buddies have bottled the bill in committee, effectively murdering it so as not to show him to be the mendacious two-faced person he truly is.
Isn’t it time for the Republican Majority to “blast” this bill to the floor for a full vote, so we can see who are and who are not contradictory on the subject of suicide? Or are there not enough REAL republicans left to form the the majority the people elected last year? That is, the untrue-to-their-party have re-branded themselves FOUR times in 4 short weeks, from: “main street”, to “responsible”, to “independent”, and now this week, to “centrist”!
Suicide: wrong for teens; okay for elders and the terminally ill or infirm? Where is the shame of these people who cannot be consistent in their governing?
Apparently, there are also Republicans who wish to have the party commit suicide as sufficient numbers of them support taking power from the people to elect their own precinct people (HB 454) and invest it in the State central committees of the only two viable parties left in the state, one of which (Republican) has become marginalized by open primaries and sufficient numbers of lying, cheating “representatives and senators” who have no honor to even adhere to the Republican Party platform.
We can but hope the actions of this Legislative body will come back to bite the Democrats at some future time, if we have not lost all power to control them, and when the first Soviet-style Politburo of the US is installed in Helena.
Resistance is futile. It didn’t used to be.
