Obituary; Kenneth Henry Seng

| April 29, 2015 7:58 PM

Kenneth Henry Seng of Plains, MT died at Hot Springs, April 21, 2015.  He was 79 years old.  Kenneth (Kenny) is survived by a son, Kenneth (Lena) Seng, daughter, Elizabeth Seng, 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, nieces, and a nephew.  Also, two brothers, Clifford (Deanne) Seng and Wes (Trudy) Seng and daughter-in-law, Deborah Denson.  He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Seng, of Plains, MT and a sister, Ann Seng Watkins.

Kenny was born on Sept 13, 1935 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to Elmer and Doris Seng.  In the fall of 1936 their family moved to Mineral County, Montana and he grew up attending school at St. Regis.  He married Anita Barnes in 1952 and later divorced.

Dad started his career of being a ‘cat skinner’ in the logging industry at a young age.  He was a hard worker and an experienced dozer operator.  His children and others learned much from his example of hard work and always helping his neighbor.  He endured multiple sclerosis for 30 plus years and always had an upbeat attitude about his condition.  His example of perseverance is forever etched in our minds and hearts.

He passed away peacefully in the Hot Springs Nursing Home dealing with the effects of MS and cancer.

Special thanks to Sandy King, Dad’s long time care giver; Hot Springs Nursing Home, and to family, friends, and neighbors who helped with his radiation treatments.

Arrangements are being made through Sunset Hills Funeral Home.

We celebrate the time that we had with him here and the reunion he now has walking and associating with loved ones beyond the veil.
