PLAINS – The Plains Horsemen took a defeat in their Saturday game against Arlee, after fighting to pull back ahead.

The Scarlett Warriors pulled ahead right off the bat, holding the Plains offense in check. The Horsemen kept fairly close, though, only staying back by five points. The score of the quarter was 7-12. The second quarter had Plains fighting harder, and pulling ahead, but Arlee maintained their advantage; the first half closed with a score of 17-28 to the Scarlett Warriors.

In the second half, Plains rallied and fought Arlee’s offense down; they could not overcome their defense, though, and could not push ahead. This continued in the final quarter as both teams fought for their final points. The game closed with a final score of 43-58 to Arlee.

Alec Cole led the Horsemen with 15 points with Ryan Ovitt a little behind with 10 points. Aaron VonHeeder came in as the third highest scorer with seven.
