SUPERIOR – The Superior Lady Bobcats took on Sanders County rivals Thompson Falls and Hot Springs last week and came away with a victory against both of them.

The Lady Bobcats took on the Lady Hawks of Thompson Falls at home in Superior and defeated the formidable opponents after a strong start that saw the team get out to a 12 point advantage in the first quarter. Head Coach Jeff Schultz said he was encouraged how the team was starting to surge going into the end of the season.

“We’re playing at a high level right now,” Crabb said. “It’s a lot of fun to watch the girls’ improvement over the course of the season. Things are really starting to click. It’s a lot of fun to watch on the court.”

Crabb said the team led by as much as 14 points during game against Thompson falls and went on to hold of the Lady Hawks to win by six. He said the team was also successful in their outing against Hot Springs. Crabb said he was also able to give the entire squad plenty of playing time on the court.

“We suited up fourteen girls and we played all of them,” Crabb said. “Everybody got a lot of time and played well and again, it was very fun to watch.”

Crabb said the team from Superior would be facing two more formidable teams this week as they go up against Charlo and Two Eagle River. He said, in preparation for those match-ups, the team would continue to work on fundamentals.

“It’ll be fun cause those are good teams,” Crabb said. Superior plays Charlo on Friday and Two Eagle River on Saturday.
