Savage Heat challenge Charlo

The Savage Heat game against Charlo was a neck and neck game most of the night, until the very end.
The first quarter started off by Charlo scoring Two points first. However, the Heat quickly returned by scoring four points. Then Charlo scored a three-pointer. Each team’s defense was so strong that by the end of the first quarter the score was only 5 to 6, with Charlo in the lead.
The second quarter was very similar to the first, but each team scored more points, though each never gained larger than a two point lead. By the middle of the quarter the score was a tie at 13 to 13.
During the second half of the quarter the two teams picked up speed and by the end the score was 21 to 22, Charlo in the lead.
The third quarter was taken over by Charlo who scored consecutively early on and started to gain a bit of a point gap. At the 4:00 minute mark, Charlo led 31 to the Heat’s 23. The Heat felt the pressure and then pushed ahead and closed the gap to just within seven points of Charlo. At the end of the third the score was 36 to 29, Charlo in the lead.
In the fourth quarter the Heat closed the gap even more in hopes of overcoming the Vikings. They came within four points, but their opponents held on to their lead. At the 4:00 minute mark, the Vikings held a five point lead, 44 to 39, which stayed the same until the 2:13 minute mark. Then Charlo made a huge push and created too large of a point lead for the Heat to catch up. The final score was, the Heat with 47, Charlo with 56.
Coach Depoe said, “It ended up coming down to their physicality.” He was pleased with Trevor Paro’s performance throughout the night. Paro scored 22 points total during the game.
