NOXON – The Noxon Lady Red Devils hosted the Troy girls basketball team last Friday evening.

The Lady Red Devils ended the game on a strong note scoring 20 points in the final quarter of play.

However, the late game offensive output was not enough to top Troy who won the game 55-33.

Troy went used an early offensive surge to jump out to a 12-2 lead after the first quarter.

The visitors built on their lead in the second quarter and led 24-10 at the half.

The third quarter proved to be the game’s pivotal frame as Troy went on a 25-3 run to start the second half, effectively putting the game out of reach with the score at 49-13 heading into the fourth quarter.

Nonetheless, Noxon refused to bow out of the competition, launching a 20-6 run to end the game.

Senior McKenna Krueger helped sparked the Lady Red Devils’ late offensive surge, ending the game with 24 total points.
