SUPERIOR - One local business in Mineral County is celebrating three straight years of excellence after they were recognized recently by a well known travel website as one of the best in the business.

Big Sky Motel Manager Rosie Schreckendgust and her able staff were recently recognized with the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence in honor of their tireless efforts to provide weary travelers with a quality lodging option in Superior.According to information provided by Tripadvisor, the certificate of excellence is only awarded to the very best in the business and according to Schreckendgust, three years in a row is virtually unheard of.

“They (Tripadvisor) told me only ten percent out of 900,000 boarding facilities get this award,” Schreckendgust said. “They said three years was almost unheard of. They actually couldn’t give me statistics. That’s how rare it is.”

Schreckendgust said receiving the certificate of excellence was based on customer reviews on the Tripadvisor website. She said the Big Sky Motel was only able to achieve the feat because of the dedication and hard work of her staff.

“They are consistent, hard work and being nice to people,” Schreckendgust said. “We get a lot of comments about the personal touches. We are very price competitive. This is all becuase of the staff we have and the owners. The girls do a great job and take pride in their work.”
