Obituary; Tamara Ann Parenteau

Tamara Ann Parenteau, age 56, of Glendive, Montana, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 due to a tragic car accident. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and will be announced when completed. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Tamara was born on May 20, 1959, in Livingston, Montana, the daughter of Mitchel and Audrey(Webber) Parenteau. She was raised and educated in Superior, Montana attending Superior High School where she graduated with the class of 1977. Following high school Tamara worked as a waitress for a couple years before moving to Glendive. Tamara worked as a waitress and a clerk with the railroad before finding what she was most passionate about, which was working first hand with people. She received a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate and began working for Eastmont, EMVH, AWARE and in home care. Tamara was always helping people whether it was at work or at her own home.

Tamara had spent most of her life in Glendive with a brief move to Bismarck, North Dakota and seven years in Casper, Wyoming before moving back to Glendive two years ago. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Tamara had a green thumb, she enjoyed planting flowers, outside yard work and she loved her job getting to take care of all the residents that she’d grown to love and care for.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchel Parenteau; sister, Michele Mitchell; niece, Shawna McMullin; and grandmother, Beatrice Conley.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Erhardt of Glendive; son, Ryan Erhardt (Amy Bender) of Miles City, Montana; four grandchildren, Quentin Erhardt, Cristyn Roussan, Kendyll Erhardt and Caydin Scott; mother, Audrey Parenteau of Superior; sisters, Donna Lime-Parenteau (Steve) of Post Falls, Idaho and Terresa Knoll (Duane)  of Glendive; brother, Joe Parenteau (Gina) of Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.
