Obituary; Markkaya Jean (Bugsy) McGann Gullett
Markkaya Jean (Bugsy) McGann Gullett of Superior became our “angel in heaven” on May 22, 2015 as a result of a car accident. She was born May 14, 1992. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Plains Bible Chapel, 243 Combest Creek Rd, Plains, MT , with Potluck meal afterward (turn left past the fairgrounds).
Markkaya grew up in Thompson Falls, MT where she attended school, graduating in 2010. After graduation, she spent time in Great Falls, Sidney, and Libby. She married Ross Gullett on April 21, 2012. To them were born two beautiful little girls, Kiona-nearly 3, and Kayah-3 months. After marriage, she had lived in Missoula and most recently in Superior. She had completed her training for CNA certification and had worked in that capacity. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed loving and nurturing her girls. This wife and momma will definitely be missed. She will also be missed as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend.
Markkaya was a free-spirited, loving woman and loved being with family and friends. She was helpful toward other people, often putting others before herself. Her passion was art; she loved to draw, write poetry and stories and also loved to read. Markkaya is remembered as being honest, sincere, genuine, supportive, kind, and fun; sometimes stubborn and determined. With her mostly positive attitude, she made others know she was there for them. Her grandparents remember her as being caring and respectful, and she and her grandma did sewing projects together. Her faith in Jesus Christ began as a young child, and we are confident she is enjoying eternity with Jesus now.
When Markkaya was born, she got the nickname “Bugsy” from her grandpa Allan Ovitt due to her big blue eyes that bugged out so beautifully. Her nickname has stuck through her whole life on earth and will continue in our memories.
Markkaya is preceded in death by grandparents: Allan Ovitt, and Billiejean Pronovost, and great-grandfather, Duane Eitelberg.
She is survived by: husband, Ross; daughters, Kiona and Kayah; parents, Kevin and Tracy McGann; brother Kodee (Amy) McGann; sister, Kilie (Jamie) Burr; nephews and niece: Allan, Arya, and Kobee McGann; grandparents: Ken and Mary McGann, and Asa Pronovost; great-grandmothers: Betty Eitelberg, and Gloria McGann and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
