Francis H. Palmer

Francis H. Palmer a long time resident of Wamic, OR, passed away peacefully June 3. 2015.

He was born June 21 1921 in Paradise, MT second of 7 children to parents Alvin and Gladys Palmer.

Francis was a veteran of WWII and served in the Pacific Theater. After his discharge he moved to Wamic where his family operated a small logging operation. He then took employment at Mt. Fir Lumber Co. in Tygh Valley, OR where he worked until his retirement.

On July 21, 1957 he married Janiel Driver, they settled in Wamic in a home once owned by her Grandmother.

They had 2 children Bill Palmer (wife Leslie) and June Oliver (husband Don). He has 3 grandchildren Lucas, Henry Palmer (wife Heather), and Hanna Oliver, and great granddaughter Aubree Palmer. Also sister and brother-in-law Gladys and Dick Wilds, and many nieces and nephews.

At his request no service will be held.
