Sherry Lynn (Barnes) Peters

 Sherry Lynn Peters, 58, of Paradise, Montana, died early the morning of Thursday, May 14, 2015.

Ms. Peters was born on March 2, 1957 in Glendale, California, to B. Jack Barnes and Jacquelin Lorraine Barnes. The oldest of four children, she grew up in Glendale, Lake View Terrace and then La Canada. She was a graduate of the 1974 class of La Canada High School, and later lived primarily in the Montrose area and then Mammoth Lakes and Bishop before moving to Montana.

Ms. Peters is fondly remembered for her love of her children as well as her quirky sense of humor, fun loving personality and sense of adventure.

She is survived by three children: Ashley Elizabeth Ingalls, 25, of Meridian, Idaho; Nicholas Hilton Barnes, 18, of Plains, Montana; and Travis Jackson Kreis, 17, of Paradise, Montana; one grandchild: Lacey Joy Ingalls, 3 months, of Meridian, Idaho; and three siblings: Wendy Marie Jacoby of La Crescenta, Calif.; Michael Hilton Barnes of Athol, Idaho; and Christina Lorraine Lyons of Germantown, MD. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, William Randy Peters.

In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Peters’ ashes will be scattered in the mountains of the Sierra Nevadas. A memorial will be held in the Mammoth area on Aug. 8. For more information, please send an email to nickntravisfund@gmail.com.
