Bluehawks win in overtime

KALISPELL - The Thompson Falls Bluehawks won in double overtime against the Plains Horsemen Friday.

The first quarter went to Plains who led 8 - 4.

In the second quarter, Plains maintained the lead making another eight points. The Hawks scored seven points.

The final score after the quarter was 16 - 11, Plains in the lead.

The Bluehawks started to charge ahead in the third quarter, scoring more points than Plains. As the buzzer sounded, Plains led just by four points with a score of 32, the Hawks with 28.

In the fourth quarter the game became interesting as Thompson Falls scored four more points than Plains. By the end the score was tied up, 46 to 46.

During the first quarter of overtime both teams scored six points. The game was still tied up, with both at 52 points.      

In the second quarter of double overtime, the Hawks scored eight points, Plains scored two. Thompson Falls took the win.    

Tanner Laws scored 18 points, Dylan Vaught scored 15 points and Dalton Hooten scored 12 points.

Earlier in the week on Thursday, Thompson Falls played Deer Lodge in Kalispell.

The Bluehawks led the way in the first half of their game against Deer Lodge. The score was 25 to 22.

In the third quarter the Hawks held the lead by six points.

Deer Lodge charged ahead in the fourth quarter and sealed the deal with a two point lead over the Hawks. The final score was 62 to 60, Deer Lodge taking the win.

After Thompson Falls’ win in double overtime against Plains on Friday, the Bluehawks faced off against Florence.

In the first half of the game Thompson Falls was close behind Florence. The score was 16 to 15.

After half-time the the Hawks scored 31 points, making their final score 46 points. Florence finished with a total score of 56 points.

Trais Hoisington scored 17 points during the game.

The Thompson Falls Bluehawks finished their season at (15-8).
