Obituary; Sally Elaine Marple (Stevenson)

Sally Elaine Marple (Stevenson), age 75, of Plains, MT, formerly of Cut Bank, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 6, 2015. She died peacefully surrounded by family and friends.

Sally was born July 26, 1939 to Charles and Cleo Ferres in Cut Bank, MT. She was raised north of Cut Bank by her grandparents. She graduated from Cut Bank High School in 1957.

Sally married her beloved husband, Joseph Marple in 1987. They enjoyed spending their time doing the things they loved: fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with their families.

Sally is survived by her husband, Joseph Marple of Plains; son Kurt (Arminthia) Dezort of Plains; daughter Kelly (Jim) Solberg and grandson, Adam, all of Cut Bank; step-daughter, Jenna Marple of Sidney, MT; grandchildren Steven Dezort of Portland, OR; Colter (Erica) Marple of Detroit Lakes, MN; Carli Jo Marple of Missoula, MT; Aree’ Anna and Austin Dezort of Wisconsin; great granddaughters Sophia and Isabella Marple of Detroit Lakes, MN, her mother, two brothers and two sisters, all of Cut Bank, and one brother, Great Falls, MT.

A memorial service is being planned for later this summer at her favorite fishing spot, Finley Flat north of Thompson Falls, MT. Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Plains, MT.

Sally will be missed by her many friends and family, and her beloved dog, Sugar Baby.
