Alberton School closed, nearby fire

Alberton School is closed today, May 12, 2015.

A fire this morning started around 4:00am on a forested mountainside near the school and engulfed a nearby home.

Superintendent Clay Acker cancelled classes, but the scheduled school board meeting for Tuesday night will still be held.
