Citizens concerned with crime rate in county

| May 22, 2015 10:30 PM

Something must be done about the crimes in Sanders County.

1.    There have been multiple felony assaults with/without weapons, sometimes with the intent to kill.

2.    There are many thefts.

3.    Burglaries.

4.    Auto theft.

5.    Many more crimes.

The problem is that the victims are often times treated poorly, almost like they are the offenders to the area police and deputies. Even the dispatcher wants more information about who is calling in, rather than the actual offense.

Rarely do the authorities do any type of serious investigations. They always say that there is not enough evidence.

However, if they do make an arrest, either the District Attorney does not follow through and or the judges let the perpetrator off with a literal apology or a little slap on the wrist, metaphorically.

They don’t want to step on anyone’s toes that have ties to the community.

Some higher authority needs to step in!

Things are really getting out of control in Sanders County….. Please Help!

This is our opinion,
