SUPERIOR - After Noxon and St. Regis battled it out on the court, the Plains Trotters and the Hot Spring Lady Savage Heat took to the court.

In three sets the game was decided, but not without some surprises.

Plains came out hitting hard and fast in the first set, leading the way 9-0. The Heat racked up a few points before the Trotters charged ahead again. Hot Springs was down by 10 points, 16-6, and refused to quit so early in the match and closed the gap momentarily to 17-9. However, Plains maintained the lead and finished strongly at 25-13.

As with the first set, Plains took the lead and held strong. Hot Springs put some points on the board periodically, but the Trotters finished 25-10.

It looked like the Trotters were going to finish the game on top, but that quickly became a distant thought in the third set. Hot Springs took the early lead and held it held it until Plains tied with them at 13 points. The Trotters charged ahead from there, but the Heat stayed close behind the whole time. In the end Plains won the set and match, 25-21.
