HOT SPRINGS - On Friday, October 30th at 7:00 pm,  Halloween Eve, it was a scary night for the Roy-Winifred football team!

Hot Springs dominated from beginning to end to advance to the second round of the Class C 6-man football play-offs.

The nasty, wet weather was no distraction for the Savage Heat, coached by Jim Lawson, Andrew Leichtnam, and Reilly Winebrenner.  The team was led by Trevor Paro and his 6 touchdowns.

Ahead by 34-0 after the first quarter, Paro ran in from 6 yards for a touchdown, then soon followed with a 59 yard touchdown pass from Sam Hoff.  Jack Dolson kicked in the extra points. Kane Lawson soon followed with a 15 yard run.

Blaine Carr ran in the two point conversion. Trevor then returned a punt return 35 yards for a touchdown.  He followed with another touchdown on a 1 yard run.

Kane Lawson grabbed an interception and ran it in for a 20 yard run.

Another run from Paro, resulted in a 21 yard touchdown.  Jameson Morigeau capitalized on a hard hit from Zach Osbourne on defense. The Roy-Winfried player coughed up the ball, and Jameson recovered the fumble, and ran it in for a touchdown.

Trevor Paro ran in another touchdown and the 1st half ended with a score of 60-0.

The entire Hot Springs bench played the majority of the 2nd half.

Tyler Carr ran in a 25 yard touchdown and scored the extra points after a pass from back-up quarterback, Justin Salmi.

Zach Osbourne scored the final touchdown of the lopsided win, after catching a pass and running it in from 36 yards.

It was another great defensive night for the Savage Heat, led by Blaine Carr with 6 tackles.  Jack Dolson had several great tackles and a sack.  Zack Osbourne had another great night with a sack and several tackles.  Paro and Lawson, in addition to scoring points, play a huge role on the defensive side, and were all over the field.

Sean Shea, Addison Mueller, Tyler Carr, Tyler Knudsen, Austin Goble, and Justin Salmi, and  come in off the bench and play hard on both sides of the football.
