Connolly hired as Mineral County financial officer

Jessica Connolly was hired as the new Financial Officer for the County, at the November 20 Mineral County Commissioners meeting.  She will work as an independent contractor, with $20,000 in the budget for her salary. Her contract is good for one year.

Her schedule will be flexible, depending on the demands of the job.  For example, next month will be busy because the Annual Financial Report will be due at the end of December.  

Mineral County requested proposals from qualified certified public accountants until November 19 to fill the position. Connolly, who resides in St. Regis, was the only CPA to submit a proposal.  

The Commissioners will hold meetings on December 3 for department heads to meet with Connolly.  She will also be at the Board of Commissioners regular weekly meeting on December 4.
