The Hot Springs football team kept their perfect record intact after defeating Burlington, Wyoming. The Savage Heat are now 7-0 following this non-conference game that took place on a neutral field at Ennis on Friday, October 9, at 1:00 pm.  With a final score of 68-8, the Savage Heat again took an early lead with the now expected  kick-off return and touchdown by Trevor Paro. Paro, who received the most votes to be the Missoulian Prep Athlete of the Week following his stellar performance against Valley Christian,  then added 3 more touchdowns and a safety.  Kicker and receiver Jack Dolson caught a 36 yard pass from quarterback Sam Hoff for a touchdown.  Kane Lawson then scored on a 12 yard run.  Zach Osbourne followed this with a 1 yard touchdown.  Tyler Carr scored two touchdowns and two extra points.  One touchdown was an 11 yard run and another was a 19 yard pass from Justin Salmi. Tyler Neal scored on a 41 yard run and Tyler Carr scored the extra points.

Another excellent defensive effort by the whole team was led by Blaine Carr with 7 tackles.  Sean Shea recovered a fumble that was converted into a touchdown. Other major contributors on defense included Jameson Morigeau, James Detienne, Addison Mueller, and Austin Goble.

Head coach Jim Lawson and assistant coaches Andrew Leichtnam and Reilly Winebrenner have done an excellent job with this team and have them well prepared as they head into a bye week before their final home game, which is also Homecoming and Senior Night, on Friday, October 23, at 7:00 pm in Hot Springs.
