Plains Trotters and Charlo Lady Vikings battle

PLAINS - The Plains Trotters took on the Charlo Lady Vikings last Tuesday in a heated match that lasted three sets. Plains fought hard and the game was evenly divided, with both teams taking control of the court. In the end Charlo would prevail, but Plains did not give up easily.

The first set started with Plains dominating the court, quickly adding points to the board. Leading the way, Plains was ahead 9-3. Charlo called a time and came back ready to fight. The Vikings scored a point then Plains scored a point, the spread still stood at a six point difference, but then Charlo muscled ahead, scoring point after point. Plains held only a small lead, but at 13 points, the two teams tied up. Continuing their pace, Charlo climbed ahead making multiple points in a row. The Trotters closed the gap eventually, but in the end the Vikings won the first set, 21-25. 

The Trotters held a small one or two point lead in the second set until Charlo broke ahead after tying at 17 points. From there the Vikings held the lead and finished the set at 20-25. 

Almost identical to the second set, with the two teams at a neck and neck race to 25 points, the third set started of with Plains slightly in the lead, but then falling behind at three points. At seven points the Trotters came back and took the lead, but not by much. Charlo would tie up with Plains multiple times and at 20 points the Vikings eventually broke ahead on won the set, 20-25.
