James Burke Perrodin

James Burke Perrodin, Father, Grandfather, Husband, Brother and Friend, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Plains.

Jim was born April 19, 1932 in Plaisance, Louisiana to Hubert and Antoinette Perrodin. He was educated at Grand Prairie and Opelousa, Louisiana Schools and upon graduation from High School in 1950, He enlisted in the U.S. Airforce and was stationed primarily at Fairchild AF Base, Spokane, WA, where he met and married Edna McCrea on April 19, 1952.

Jim and Edna moved to Opelousas, LA at the end of his military service, but the Northwest beckoned. He worked at Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane and the Lumber Industry in Montana where he settled permanently in 1961. He loved fishing, hunting, Montana’s mountains and his beloved cabin on Little Thompson River.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edna; children Mike (Shirlee) Perrodin, Havre, MT; Laurie Perrodin, Billings, MT; Grandchildren, John Perrodin and Kaitlin Perrodin; sisters Judy Perrodin, Gulf Port, MS, and Mary Wilder, Denham Springs, LA; Niece Sonia Lubecke, Baton Rouge, LA and many cousins.

Memorial service may be held at a later date. Sunset Hills Funeral Homes in Plains has been entrusted with the arrangements.
