The game against the Arlee Scarlets lasted for five sets, with the Scarlets coming out on top.

Plains dominated the court the first set. From the beginning, they took the lead and created a comfortable buffer ahead of Arlee. In the middle of the set, they led 14-7. Arlee couldn’t close the gap and the Trotters would widen it by the end of the set, winning 25-15.

After switching sides and taking a quick break, Arlee came back ready to fight. At 5-5, the Scarlets pushed ahead. With Arlee in the lead at 9-5, Plains called a timeout. The Trotters came within reach of tying it up in the middle of the set with Arlee leading 13-11, but the Scarlets kicked it into high gear and left the Trotters playing catch-up again. Arlee finished the set at 25-19.

In the third set, the Trotters quickly jumped ahead to a strong lead In very little time, Plains was ahead at 9-3. The Scarlets came from behind and put pressure on Plains, coming to within three points. The Trotters reciprocated and jumped ahead again, but Arlee followed suit and tied with Plains at 17 points. The two teams stayed neck and neck and the Scarlets took the lead at 23-20. When it looked like Plains would lose the third set, they put it all together and passed Arlee and won the set, 25-23. The stands went wild and cheers were yelled.

Arlee took control of the court in the fourth set, quickly earning a 10 point lead over Plains. By the end of the set, the Scarlets won, 25-13.

With both teams tied with two sets each, the 15 point fifth set had to be played.

The last set was a neck and neck fight. Neither team took the lead, until the very end at a tie at 12 points. The Scarlets pushed ahead and won the set and match, at 15-12.
