PLAINS - Thursday evening the Plains City Budget was passed.

After working on balancing the budget, Mayor Greg Eitelberg said he was able to put sufficient money everywhere it needed to go for the upcoming fiscal year. He said that the budget should be fairly similar to last year, with only a few exceptions.

After experiencing an increase in funds needed for the upkeep of the public pool this past summer, Mayor Eitelberg said he moved a bit of money around to increase the money that will be spent on the pool next year.

With an aging police car on the force, Mayor Eitelberg also said he was able to pass getting a new police car, which will be paid off over a few years.

The same Thursday as the budget was passed, the new dog catcher truck went into service.
