Superior sisters race for childhood hunger

April 11-17 marked the second annual statewide Fight Childhood Hunger Week in conjunction with Global Youth Service Day. An initiative of Governor and First Lady Bullock’s Youth Leadership Council to fight childhood hunger.

Over 30 projects and events took place across Montana, including a Miles for Meals 5K run on Sunday, April 17 at Frenchtown Elementary School. Governor Bullock and his kids participated in the race, as well as Kat and Maggie Milender of Superior.

Kat and Maggie took second and third place in the race and had their photo taken with the Governor. Their mother, Michelle Milender Parkin said that she was very proud of her girls.
