JAMES C. JONES

| December 1, 2016 4:00 AM

James C. Jones (“Jimmy,” “JJ”) died at his home in St. Regis, Montana on August 24, 2016. He passed away from cancer at 1:07 a.m. with all his family at his bedside. He will be missed so very much by many friends and family. He was a very important part of our family and he was loved so very much.
Jimmy was born on February 24, 1961. He was always known to be very generous to all—with his time, and helping others with the storms in their life. He was always on call if a ride was needed what ever the reason.
Jim spent most of his working life as a logger. He did helicopter logging in Washington, Idaho, and Montana—and with Tricon Timber in St. Regis for approximately 20 years. He had a passion for golf and went to many tournaments. He loved it, always a smile and ready to go.
Jim is survived by his step-daughter Danielle, and his grandson Drake, his step-son Eddy Lee (Ann), and his granddaughter Lola; his father James L. (“Carolyn”) Jones; sisters Cheree, (Rick) Thompson, Tammie (Rocky) Therrian; step-siblings Sherry, Linda and Gary; step-father Larry Bauer; step- siblings Tony, Lourie, Kelly, and Kris; also numerous nieces and nephews. His mother Julia Bauer preceded him in death.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24 at Plains Cemetery. Later on Wednesday there will be Celebration of his life at the St. Regis Park at 3:00 p.m., which will be followed with a potluck.
