OBITUARY JOHN BRIGHT

John Bright passed away peacefully at home with his family at his bedside on July 28, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born in Moiave, California to Rose and Jack Bright. After he served his country in the Army fighting in the Korean War, he returned to California and married the girl of his dreams, Phyllis, to whom he was married to for over 60 years.
John retired from the Department of Water and Power and moved to the beautiful state of Montana in Plains over 20 years ago thus fulfilling a life long dream. John loved to do many things in life but had a great passion for hunting and fishing.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, sons, John and Garry, and sister Donna. He leaves behind his daughter Terri Totzke and Cindy Bailey, seven grandchildren, Kristen Olson and husband Eric, Angele Totzke, Nicholas Totzke, James Bailey and wife Mari, Shawn Bright, Nicholas Barnes and Annie Bright and six and a half great-grandchildren.
We will always remember John’s strength and determination which allowed him to get any job done and accomplish any goal he set. He was loved and admired and will be always remembered. Here’s to you, John Bright, you did it your way.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Sunset Hills Funeral Homes, Plains & Thompson Falls.
