Ski slopes starting to open

Snow storms have been rolling through the Clark Fork valley as skier’s wax their boards and get ready for another season on the slopes. Lookout Ski area reported eight inches of new snow on Monday, Dec. 5. They plan on reopening the slopes on Thursday, Dec. 8 and say they have 34 inches at the base and 40 inches at the summit.

Snowbowl is reporting 10 inches at the base and 20 inches on the summit and they are 10 percent open. Days of operation will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9-11.
