The Own Invitational wrestling tournament was held in Polson over the weekend and the Superior team scored 15 points, coming in ahead of Whitefish and Bigfork. Class AA Sentinel won with 155.5 points, followed by Class A, Columbia Falls with 146.

Superior Coach Charlie Crabb said no one placed at the tournament but he thought the team wrestled pretty well. He also mentioned that some of the junior varsity team were in Ronan for a tournament and did well there, too.

“Mike Parkin was one match away from placing and lost a close match to get in. He made it the furthest through the bracket. We are young and have a lot of learning yet to do but for the most part I was pleased with the weekend,” Crabb said.
