Plains-Hot Springs 4th at Buzz Lucey Invite
EUREKA — Daniel Uli, the top-ranked 120-pound grappler in Class B-C, pinned Riley Olson of Flathead’s junior varsity squad in just 34 seconds to claim the title at the Buzz Lucey Invitational Friday and Saturday.
Uli’s win, coupled with Kane Lawson’s title at 160 and three other second-place finishes, helped Plains-Hot Springs to a fourth-place finish out of 11 teams at the event.
Lawson won a 6-1 against Eureka’s Levi Garcia at 160. Austin Stafford (138), Luke Lile (145) and James Detienne (152) all finished second in their weight class.
Eureka won the event with 222 1/2 points. Flathead’s JV was next at 188 1/2, followed by Timberlake, Idaho (133 1/2), Plains-Hot Springs (120 1/2) and Bigfork (78).

GREAT FALLS — Thompson Falls finished 17th out of 33 teams and the Great Falls C.M. Russell Holiday Classic Friday and Saturday.
Kaleb Frank finished fifth at 113 pounds, the best finish for any Blue Hawk wrestler.
Flathead won the event comfortably with 264 1/2 points. Colstrip was next (178 1/2), followed by Great Falls High (175). Thompson Falls earned 55 points as a team.
