The teams were close in the third quarter, 47-43, with the Tigers still in the lead. But in the fourth quarter the Vikings only managed four points, while the Tigers jumped ahead with 13. Brock Cantrell-Field led his team to victory with 29 points, followed by Brandon Managhan 14; Eric Eslick 10; Trevor Lowry 4; and Ian Ferris 3.

At home in Superior, the Clark Fork Mountain Cats slinked behind Wallace, ID with a 66-33 loss. With just six players filling out the roster, the Cats struggled to put points on the board. They also only hit 4 out of 15 free-throws. Nick Turnbull led the team with 16 points, followed by Michael Spence with 13.

However, there is some good news for the Cats, seven eighth graders have been approved to be moved up to play varsity ball. Two are from Alberton and five from Superior. They will start after the New Year.

“This really gives us an opportunity to practice and have a better chance,” said head coach, Erik Johnson, “I’m really excited for the eighth graders, this is a cool experience for them.”
