Long-time St. Regis resident, Jimmy Jones, was diagnosed with throat cancer and had been undergoing treatment. Jones, who’s 53, has worked at Tricon for 15 years, and has been a member of the volunteer fire department for over 20 years. Now, the man who has helped so many other people, is in need of their help.

Kat Kittridge, Assistant Fire Chief with the St. Regis Fire Department, said that Jone’s medical expenses are substantial and so they are holding a benefit spaghetti dinner and auction on February 27 at the St. Regis Community Center starting at 6 p.m.

“The community has been really great about helping out,” said Kittridge.

Over 30 items have been donated for the auction, and there is also a raffle currently being held for a Husqvarna Husky 555 Chainsaw. The winner will be drawn at the dinner, but you don’t need to be there to win, said Kittridge.
