THOMPSON FALLS – The Thomspon Falls boys basketball team came away with a solid victory after their game against the Eureka Lions.

The Bluehawks came out strong from the start. They crushed the Eureka defense in the first half and pulled away to a strong lead. The first half came to a close with Thompson Falls leading 31-6.

As the second half opened, Eureka fought to come back and nearly tripled their score; they had also rallied defensively and kept Thompson Falls from getting the same scores of the first. The boys struggled to overcome the defense, but their score was still strong. The third quarter closed with a score of 40-17.

In the final quarter, Thompson Falls recovered and pressed through Eureka’s defense to leap ahead again. They put the pressure on the Lions and kept them to only a handful of points. The game closed with a final score of 57-24.

Trais Hoisington lead the Bluehawks with a total of 20 points. A ways behind him were Tyler Riffle and Joe Frields who each brought in eight points.

This week the boys play against Bigfork for their senior night home game on Friday, February 12.
