PLAINS – The Horsemen came out on top with a final score of 86-47 when they travelled to Two Eagle River over the weekend.

The first quarter was close with both teams gaining nearly equal scores. The boys hit almost score for score as they pressed ahead into double digits. Plains gained a small advantage, though, and closed the quarter ahead at 15-12.

In the second quarter, the Horsemen burst ahead as their defenders pressed the Eagles to a standstill. They leapt ahead, gaining a strong lead as they opened the lead to 20 points. The first half ended with a score of 36-18 to the Horsemen.

They continued this lead into the second half and further opened the gap. While Two Eagle’s players fought hard, keeping closely behind, they were not able to pull Plains back. The third quarter ended at 59-33.

The same pattern continued into the fourth quarter as Plains gave a final push to increase their score. Two Eagle gave a push themselves and brought in a healthy number of last minute points. It was not enough, though, and the game ended with Plains holding nearly double Two Eagle’s score.
