HOT SPRINGS – Hot Springs came away with a strong 36-point victory in their game against Two Eagle River.

The Savage Heat exploded out to an early lead in the first half, coming away with a score of 37. Their defenders overpowered Two Eagle’s offense, keeping them to 15 points by the end of the first half.

As the second half began, Two Eagle broke past the Hot Springs defense, matching the Savage Heat score for score. The Hot Springs boys stayed ahead, though, their earlier lead allowing them to hold a strong lead and maintain a veritable stalemate. The final quarter saw Two Eagle falter, falling back under the Hot Springs defenders as they made a final push for victory.

The game ended with a final score of 78-42.

Hot Springs also had a game against the Arlee Scarlett Warriors. After a one-sided first half, the Savage Heat came back as a threat in the game.

The game started out with Arlee leaping ahead during the first half. They exploded into a strong lead early and left Hot Springs behind. Things looked grim as the first half ended with a score of 16-42 to Arlee.

As the second half began, though, the Savage Heat rallied. Their offensive broke past the Scarlett Warrior’s defenders and brought in 24 points; nearly 10 more than the opposition. The final quarter saw Hot Springs and Arlee struggle with each other to get past the other’s defense. In the end, the teams scored identical points, making little progress in either advance, leading to a final score of 55-74.
