Jonathon Gordon Johnson was arrested on June 11, for being in possession of a stolen vehicle, driving with a suspended driver’s license, which was his ninth offense, and obstruction of a peace officer.

Deputy Brad Rhodda, the arresting officer, received a call that a stolen vehicle was heading toward Superior from Spokane, Washington. The owner of the vehicle, a silver Hyundai Elantra, said the driver was her brother-in-law. Her cell phone had been left in the car and she was tracking it from her home in Spokane.

She was able to let Deputy Rhodda know when Johnson was near Superior. Rhodda, along with Deputies AJ Allard and McMurray were able to intercept Johnson just west of town. Johnson’s initial court appearance was June 22, where he plead not guilty. He was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff.
