St. Regis loses to Charlo in 4 matches

St. Regis girls volleyball hosted Charlo on September 3 with a defeat of 3 to 1 in a four match set. In game one the Tigers won with a score of 21 to 25. In the second and third matches of the day, Charlo came back with a win of 25 to 18 for both. In the final match of the day, Charlo won, 25 to 15. Total kills for the day brought in 35 for St. Regis, with Courtney Cheesman leading the pack with 16. With Charlo making 38 kills, led by Sakoya Gaustad with 11. In blocks, St. Regis had 9, with Cheesman again leading with 5. Followed by Charlo with 6 blocks, 4 made by Brooklyn Foust. St. Regis had 70 digs and Anna Sanford led with 17. Charlo had 74 digs, with Cheyenne Nagy leading with 17.

St. Regis had 25 assists, where Madison Hill had 13, Charlo had 27, with Teira Truman at 19. St. Regis had 12 Aces with Jasmine Jones slamming down 5. Charlo had 20, with Katelyn Cox at 11.

St. Regis suffers loss to Arlee, 3 to 1

St. Regis Tigers suffered a loss to Arlee on September 8, with a 3 to 1 game defeat. Arlee won 25 to 20, 25 to 14, 23 to 25 and 25 to 19. Courtney Cheesman and Justice Tate led the Tigers in their 30 kills with 11 each, to Arlee's 32 kills. In blocks, the Tigers had 11, again with Cheesman in the lead with 6. Cheesman also led the team in aces, with 5 of the 8. To Arlee's 15 aces led by Mikayla Rieken with 4. Arlee only had 2 blocks for the evening. Emma Hill had 15 of the Tiger's 45 digs, to Arlee's 35 digs led by Eden Morin with 11. St. Regis has 28 assists led by Madison Hill and Anna Sanford, both with 10. Arlee had 25 assists.

Mountain Cats couldn't keep Blackhawks down in Homecoming

In Superior, the Clark Fork Mountain Cats hosted Seeley-Swan Blackhawks in volleyball where the junior varsity team won 25 to 8, 25 to 12 and 15 to 11. However, the varsity team was defeated 25 to 16, 25 to 23 and 25 to 13.

Varsity player Emma Dubois had 8 of the Cats 21 kills for the evening, to Seeley-Swan's 23 kills led by Alex Bohlman with 7. Seeley-Swan had 6 blocks led by Andi Bohlman with 4, to Clark Fork's 0. Seeley-Swan had 38 digs, the Cats had 43 led by Kaylee Ray with 14. Clark Fork's Maddy Mask led in assists with 10 for a total of 18, with Seeley-Swan's 18 assists led by Alex Bohlman with 8. Alex Bohlman also led Seeley-Swan in aces with 3 of their 8, to the Cat's 6.

Darby trumps St. Regis with 3-2 win at Saturday's game

St. Regis took on Darby on Saturday, September 10 with close matches but not enough to win with a three to two loss. Darby took the lead with 25 to 20 in the first game, followed by 25 to 19. St. Regis won their third match 18 to 25 and won the fourth match 21 to 25. They lost the last match of the day, 15 to 4.

St. Regis Senior, Courtney Cheesman led the charge with 19 kills and six blocks. Darby had a total of 22 kills, with eight made by Kylie Fisher. St. Regis had a total of 40 kills. Darby gathered up seven blocks, again led by Fisher with five. St. Regis had 14 blocks. Darby had 24 digs, with Madison Hill garnering 21 of St. Regis' 67 digs. Hill again led in assists with 15 of 31 for St. Regis, to Darby's 21. Sister, Emma Hill, had four aces of nine total for St. Regis. Darby had 20 aces for the game.

Mountain Cats scratch Lynx in Lincoln with 3-0 win

In Lincoln, the Clark Fork Mountain Cats swept the Lynx by winning three games on Saturday, Sept. 10. With 25 to 19 in the first game, 22 to 25 in the second, 25 to 16 in the third and fourth games. Freshman Cat, Samantha Clevenger had 12 kills and two blocks to help lead the team to victory. Overall, the Cats had 41 kills to Lincoln's 18. With five total blocks to the Lynx ten. Clark Fork had 41 digs, where Montana Baughman garnered eight. Lincoln had 18. The Cats had 32 assists, where Maddy Mask racked up 14, to Lincoln's 20. Mask also led in aces with four of the Cat's 11. Lincoln had ten with both Carley Deluca and Maggie Jorgenson with three each.
