County music students score big at Districts in Missoula

The District Music Festival was held in Missoula at Sentinel High School on April 7-8. The St. Regis Band received an excellent rating on both their prepared pieces and sight reading. The choir performed for comments only and so there was not a score, according to music teacher, Derek Larson. Also, McKenzie Stortz and Krystina Thompson received excellent ratings on their vocal solos.

The Alberton Band received a score of one for their performance and a two for sight reading, reported band teacher, Mike Wolfe. Kristina Solinger also received a one and qualified for State. Superior received the following scores:
