Mineral County athletes shine at Seeley-Swan Invitational

Seeley-Swan Track Invitational
Under sunny spring skies athletes gathered for the Seeley-Swan Track Invitational on Saturday in Frenchtown. Teams from all over Montana showed up to run, throw and jump their way one step closer to State.
In girls St. Regis senior, Madison Hill, took top honors in the long jump with 15-7 and also placed second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.23. Emma Duboise with Clark Fork took fourth in Pole Vault with 8-0 and teammate, Hailey Kelly placed fourth in high jump with 4-10. Kelly also placed fourth in javelin with 112-6. The girls team scored 13 overall out of a field of 19 teams. Fort Benton came in first at 95.
St. Regis Brandon Managhan placed second in the triple jump with 39-5. In the long jump Clark Fork’s Connor Voll placed fifth with 17-8. St. Regis Brock Cantrell-Field placed third in both discus, with 142-3.5 and in javeln with 160. Cantrell-Field also placed sixth in shot put with a throw of 40-8.
In the 3200, Clark Fork’s Griffin Pluth placed third with a time of 11:05.47. Teammate Jesse Shaske placed third in the 800 meter dash with 2:12.70. The boys team placed 13 with Thompson Falls in the lead with a score of 83.
