Leslie A. Trueax (Shorty)

The morning of Nov. 29, 2017 we had a great loss of our loving father, Leslie A. Trueax (Shorty), 91, of Paradise.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1926 in Hot Springs, South Dakota to George and Carrie Trueax. He was one of nine siblings, two of which are still living.
He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1946 and was a World War II veteran.
In 1957 he married Helen F. Doney and they had six children, four of which survived. Guy, Kari, Stephanie and Truda.
They later divorced.
Throughout his life he worked the sawmill in Plains, drove taxi in Anaconda and also worked for the Forest Service.
All his life he enjoyed the game bingo. He called and played at the Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carrie; five of his brothers, Charles, John, Bill, Ole and his twin brother Wesley who died at birth; and his sister, Mary.
Survivors include his brother, Pat and sister, Nellie both of Arizona; his four children, Guy Trueax of California, Kari Trueax of Montana, Stephanie Trueax Turner of Kansas and Truda Mitchell of Kansaa; and his caregiver, Adriene Galinat.
He had 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at the Paradise cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017. A luncheon will follow in Plains at Plains LDS church. Shorty was well loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
